Memory Rewriting (EMR)?<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3002b79 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"3002b79\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>EMR <strong>\u00a9 <\/strong>uses the innate abilities of the equine nervous system to rapidly access and transform the schemas at the root of their problematic behaviours and psychological states. In EMR <strong>\u00a9<\/strong>, the problematic behaviours and psychological states of equines that stem from schemas in their memory are seen as a reflection of the learnings that the various experiences linked to domestication have led them to construct in order to adapt.<\/p><p>The scientific validation of the EMR <strong>\u00a9<\/strong> framework and its methods comes from the major and relatively recent discoveries made by neuroscientists on memory reconsolidation. Reconsolidation is the only neural mechanism known to science that allows learned and ingrained behavioural and emotional responses to be fundamentally unlearned, &#8220;erased&#8221; and rewritten (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S0732118X22000150\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Ecker &amp; Vaz, 2022<\/a>; <a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/19342552\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Monfils et al., 2009<\/a>). After 10 years of full-time observation of horses in semi-natural conditions and in extensive breeding. She developed and tested an intervention method based on the coherence of equine communication and their need of <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/vimeo.com\/926875190\/2c2953cad5?share=copy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><em><strong>completion<\/strong><\/em><\/a><\/span>. The EMR <strong>\u00a9 <\/strong>methodology is, therefore, the fruit of 20 years of study, observation and experimentation in the field with hundreds of equines, and through the teaching and experimentation of dozens of professionals trained in this approach for over a decade in Canada and Europe.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2c24424 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"2c24424\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\" data-settings=\"{&quot;background_background&quot;:&quot;classic&quot;}\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a4a78e4 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"a4a78e4\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f6505dd elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"f6505dd\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The way in which profound change occurs in equine memory is very clearly represented in EMR <strong>\u00a9<\/strong>, and rigorously follows the steps of the Therapeutic Memory Reconsolidation Process (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.coherencetherapy.org\/files\/Ecker_2018_Clinical_Translation_of_Memory_Reconsolidation_Research.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Ecker, 2018<\/a>; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.researchgate.net\/publication\/270279444_Memory_Reconsolidation_Understood_and_Misunderstood\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">2015<\/a>).
